The Team

easyJet's Engineering and Maintenance team are renowned for their innovative solutions. You'll engage with all aspects of our operations to deliver the highest standards of aircraft engineering and maintenance. With Europe's highest technical dispatch reliability and a program introducing NEO aircraft, there's no better time to join. You'll lead a team responsible for safety, training and compliance across our network.

The Role

As Training Manager, you'll be a key leader in our expanding organisation with full accountability for training and development across 10 UK bases and our European operation. You'll:

  • Create and manage the training budget, ensuring financial efficiency and alignment with organisational goals
  • Develop and execute a strategic training plan in collaboration with the Engineering and Maintenance leadership team
  • Oversee apprenticeships in the UK and Germany, fostering future talent
  • Ensure all training and competency procedures comply with relevant AOC regulations
  • Lead, guide and develop your team across training development, apprenticeships and safety coordination
  • Work alongside E&M leadership on manpower strategy, safety and staff development
  • Provide subject matter expertise and support on all training requirements
What we're looking for
  • Minimum 5 years operational managerial aviation experience
  • Understanding of Part 145, Part 21 and CAMO requirements; knowledge of CAA, EASA and FOCA legislation is beneficial
  • Ability to gain and hold UK airport airside passes
  • Strong communication skills across internal and external stakeholders
  • High standard of leadership, organisational skills and time management
  • Team player who can work remotely while managing time and duty of care
  • Flexible, solution focused and able to drive improvements across the business
  • Knowledge of AMOS IT system is a plus
Requirements of the Role

Practicalities

This 12 month fixed term contract will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend 60% of our time per month in the office.

This role is a HMP position
