As a Medical Sector Manager, you'll combine technical leadership, client engagement, project delivery and strategic business development to drive the creation of next-generation medical technologies from concept through to launch.

Working alongside internationally recognised experts across mechanical, electronics, software and industrial design disciplines, you'll lead complex product development programmes that deliver real-world impact while helping to grow a thriving medical sector.

The Opportunity

You'll take ownership of high-value medical device development projects, leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, commercially successful products within demanding timescales, budgets and regulatory frameworks.

You'll also play a key role in shaping sector strategy, developing client relationships, winning new business and representing the organisation at major industry events and conferences worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex medical device development projects from concept to commercialisation.
• Act as technical lead, guiding multidisciplinary engineering and design teams.
• Build and grow relationships with strategic medical and scientific clients.
• Create proposals, project plans, budgets and commercial quotations.
• Ensure projects are delivered within ISO 13485 quality requirements.
• Support business development activities, client presentations and industry events.

About You

We're looking for an accomplished engineer and project leader with a proven track record in medical product development.

You will have:

• Significant experience delivering medical device development projects within an ISO 13485 environment.
• Strong project management and commercial awareness, including budgeting, quoting and client management.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Design Engineering or a related discipline.
• A strong understanding of product development, CAE tools, manufacturing processes and material selection.
• Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing methods, including injection moulding.
