Job Description

WearelookingforanexperiencedEngineeringManagertoprovidetechnicalleadership, management, and development of the engineering team on The Crown Estates contract, Ensuring operational excellence and compliance standard are met and exceeded.

The role will cover in the main both the mechanical and electrical strategies within The Crown Estates building, with likely cover required across the rest of the contract portfolios as well. Reportingtothe Area General Manager, the role will also have an indirect reporting line to The Crown Estates Senior Technical Manager.

To support the site team and client in the technical review of proposed works against industry best practice and site standards and the impact to business operations.

Fully engage with Building Performance and Net Zero Carbon targets through the implementation of Building intelligence system and optimisation of the M&E systems within the buildings.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Responsiblefortechnicalleadershipandensurethatalltechnicalservicecommitments and KPIs as per the contractare met.
  • ResponsibleforHV/LVactivitiesensuringfullcompliancewithcompanyelectricalrules.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Stakeholders within TCE to agree and implement strategies to achieve Building Performance and Net Zero Carbon objectives.
  • Ensure areas of team development are recognised and action plans in place.
  • Provide updates to the mechanical and electrical rules based on account nuances.
  • Provide technical support tolocal siteteaminandoutofhours.
  • Ensurecompanystaffingstructuresandcompetenciesoperate within theQuadrant portfolio.
  • Ensureauthorisedpersonispresentalwayswhererequired.
  • InvestigateandassistwithRCAsonmajorOperationalincidents.
  • Attendoperationalmeetings.
  • Activelypromotemanagementsystemsandprocessesthathavebeendevelopedforthe company across all sites to ensure consistency.
  • CompleteTechnicalsiteaudits
  • SupportingtheBGISCriticalWorksProcess,safetyprograms.
  • Plantroomstandard andauditing.
  • SupportsiteIntegratedStructureTesting(IST)duringprojectcompletions.
  • LOTOauditing&training.

  • Evaluatepractices,procedures,andfacilitiestoassessriskandadherencetotheBritish Standards and UK law.
  • Inspectassetsequipmentandtheircomponentstoobservepossiblefutureandpresent issues.
  • Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities working alongside Asset Management,RCC(RemoteCommandCentre)andOperationalteamstoprovidebestin class service to clients.

Management Responsibilities

  • Customer relationship and liaison - Facilities Managers and equivalent
  • Escalation and ownership of local operational, compliance
  • Elogbooks management/monitoring
  • SLA and KPI management of the CAFM system
  • Supply chain management - Subcontractor reviews.
  • Ensure that Risk Management is being delivered across Quadrant portfolio in a consistent manner.
  • Responsible for ensuring that Statutory & Code compliance of sites is adhered to by the local management team and supported by specialist when required.
  • Ensure areas of team development are recognised and action plans in place.
  • Attendregularmeetingswith CrownEstatessitemanagementtodiscussanylocalissuesor concerns.

ManagerialexperienceatContractLevelwithinahardservicesbusiness Delivery of wider facilities management services.

Electrically or mechanicallyqualifiedtoNVQlevel3

KnowledgeofMechanicalSystems,Chillers,CoolingTowers,ClosedWaterSystems Knowledge of Generators, ATS, STS, Load bank Testing

KnowledgeofControlsSystems,SafetyCircuits,BMS,PMS,EMS,PLC,LightingControls Knowledge of Natural Gas Systems, Boilers, Boosters,

Excellentverbalandwrittencommunicationskills. Numerate and computer literate.

NEBOSHqualifiedtoenablecollaborationwithaccountQHSE lead.
