About The Team You will lead the Builder Experience & Observability function within Platform Engineering - responsible for improving how engineers build, test, deploy, and operate Mambu's core banking platform. The team focuses on frictionless developer workflows, reliable CI/CD pipelines, and strong observability foundations. We partner closely with Product Engineering, SRE, Security, and Architecture to strengthen release velocity and system reliability through automation, visibility, and high-quality engineering practices. Lead the evolution of Mambu's builder experience and observability ecosystem that enables hundreds of engineers to deliver banking workloads safely and efficiently. Define and execute the CI/CD transformation roadmap, modernizing pipelines for speed, reliability, and end-to-end quality. Champion DORA-aligned engineering excellence by improving lead time, deployment frequency, change failure rate, and recovery time. Partner with SRE, Architecture, Security, and Product Engineering to embed observability, testing, and release governance into every delivery stage. Drive continuous improvement in Java build, test, and deployment quality, reducing defect leakage and operational incidents. Cultivate a high-performing, hands-on engineering culture that values simplicity, quality, and data-driven improvement. 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years leading teams in platform, CI/CD, or observability domains. Strong foundation in Java development and modern build/test practices - able to guide quality improvements across large, distributed systems. Deep understanding of cloud-native environments, with hands-on experience in Container technologies like Docker,Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitLab CI/CD. A data-driven mindset - using metrics and insights to improve developer experience, reliability, and operational maturity. Excellent collaboration, communication, and influence skills across technical and executive stakeholders. Passion for engineering excellence and continuous improvement - helping builders move faster with confidence and accountability.
