Engineering Machining Manager - (West Midlands)

Working within a specialist machining and grinding operation near Wolverhampton, our client is seeking an Engineering Machining Manager to support their ongoing manufacturing growth activity, working alongside the group within the global aerospace and industrial sectors.

Managing a team of circa 30 people, the role focuses on successful day-to-day machining engineering and operational efficiency, schedule adherence, and maintaining their journey in continuous improvement and best practices. This is a hands-on role reporting to the Group Operations Director.

Working with high tolerances and with specialist carbon-based materials as well as metallics, the Engineering Machining Manager should have considerable experience working and leading an engineering and manufacturing team, with strengths in CNC grinding, machining, or similar operations. This role would ideally suit candidates who have progressed from a machinist level to supervisory/management positions.

The established organization has extensive experience and dedicated production planning and scheduling systems. This role requires experience in working to accurate demand signals and collaborating closely with all departments to ensure conformance, cost control, and schedule adherence.
