About the RoleWe are looking for a highly organised and proactive Engineering Administrator to support the smooth day-to-day running of our engineering business. This is a varied role that plays a key part in office coordination, production support, and administrative operations, working closely with engineering, production, and management teams.
Responsibilities- Answer telephone calls professionally, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate person
- Maintain and update planning and scheduling boards daily to ensure seamless operations
- Manage the ERP system, including component details, enquiries, work orders, and purchase orders
- Handle general administrative duties such as email correspondence, creating spreadsheets, and liaising with suppliers
- Support filing, scanning, and maintaining accurate records
- Manage incoming and outgoing post, deliveries, and courier services
- Monitor and maintain office supplies and stationery
- Provide support with production planning and coordination
- Previous experience in an engineering administration role
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail
- Experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD is desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good time-management and organisational abilities
- Friendly, professional manner with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
- Reliable, punctual, and approachable
- A strong team player who can also work independently
- Proactive and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
