The Building Design Team is a busy, well-established, multi-disciplinary practice embedded within the Local Authority and currently have an opportunity for a senior building services engineer, with an electrical engineering specialism, to join the Building Design Services Engineering team on a permanent basis.

This position would ideally suit acandidate who is looking to step up to the next level or an existing engineer looking for a new challenge.The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate a diverse range of design understanding and preferably be working towards a relevant qualification.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate and be responsible for designing and delivering engineering solutions to various new build construction projects, soprior exposure to a wide range of project types including Office, Leisure, Education and Housing would be advantageous and should be demonstrable through their CV.

The position will involve a client facing role and so good communication skills and experience at presenting is a must. You'll also be assisting with the management of staff and working in teams with a multi-disciplinary aspect.

You will be getting involved with the whole design process, taking and developing engineering briefs, working on the initial design, through to delivery on site, so a range of design and site-based experience would be a bonus.

An understanding of BIM is required, with the ability to design via Revit and AutoCAD, whilst also using other engineering design software.There will also be flexibility within working patterns with the ability to work from home and time spent in the office.
