Job Title: Engine Builder / Vehicle Technician
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Hours of Work: 38.75 hours per week
Place of Work: Liss, GU33 7NX, West Sussex
Role Summary
Strip & assess, fully rebuild, and test complete 1920's & 30's Bentley engines, including on-car fault finding and setup
Event and race preparation, attendance, and support.
Provide technical support in the workshop when required to meet business needs
Key Responsibilities
Strip & assess, fully rebuild, and test complete 1920's & 30's Bentley engines, including on-car fault finding and setup
Understand, rectify vehicle issues, faults, and report in detail.
Attend and assist with dynamometer & rolling-road sessions
Keep meticulous build notes and records
Maintain a clean and safe working environment and complete all necessary production control records (timesheets, inspection records etc)
Quality control, tidiness and attention to detail are an absolute necessity
Ensure Health and Safety regulations are met, and safe working practices are adhered to
Experience and Required Skills
Very strong mechanical engineering fitting skills; knowledge of carburettors and magneto/coil ignition systems
Sound mechanical diagnostic skills developed through manual experience
High degree of accuracy combined with attention to detail and process adherence
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with concise communication & record-keeping of car & build data
Ability to take initiative and ownership of issues, with a proactive can-do attitude
Minimum 3 years' experience in similar role
