Job Description
Newport City Council is seeking an Enforcement Case Officer to join its Waste Education and Enforcement Team on a temporary 6 month contract, based at Telford Depot, Newport (NP19 0ES). The role offers £108.04-£141.81 per day via Prism.
Responsibilities- Handle customer enquiries and manage correspondence
- Process notifications and invoices
- Maintain accurate case and document management records
- Produce reports
- Support internal and external audits through data input and validation
- Good general standard of education
- Demonstrable experience in busy administrative environments
- Experience working with databases, spreadsheets, and finance systems
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office or equivalent)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to deal courteously with members of the public
- Methodical, self motivated, and comfortable working under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Primarily based at Telford Depot, the role may require travel to other Council locations. Hybrid working of up to two days per week from home is available following initial training. Flexible start and finish times (7:00-8:00am start, 3:00-4:00pm finish). Start date: 29June2026.
