A well-established and highly regarded UK leading law firm is seeking a talented Employment Lawyer to join their East Anglian team. Operating across property, corporate, litigation, and private client services, it is known for forward-thinking, and proactive legal solutions.


The Employment Team


One of the largest employment teams in the country, the team is Tier 1 ranked in Chambers and Legal 500 and advises a diverse range of clients including major corporates, public sector bodies, charities, and senior executives.

This award-winning team handles all aspects of employment law-both contentious and non-contentious-and offers additional services in HR consultancy, in-house client training, workplace investigations, employee incentives, mediation, and immigration.


Role Overview


You will work on a broad variety of employment law issues across sectors such as education, financial services, construction, transport, agriculture, charities, and public sector. Responsibilities include:

  • Advising on general employment law and contractual issues
  • Drafting service agreements, contracts, and policies
  • Handling TUPE, redundancy, and restructuring matters
  • Supporting on corporate transactions
  • Representing clients in Employment Tribunal litigation
  • Advising on boardroom disputes, discrimination claims, and severance packages
  • Working on professional discipline and conduct cases


Requirements

  • A qualified solicitor with 3+ years PQE
  • Technically strong in employment law and commercially aware
  • An effective communicator with clear, concise drafting skills
  • Capable of providing pragmatic advice under pressure
  • Involved in business development and confident attending networking events
  • Familiar with the local business community in Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire (desirable)
