Job Description

EMPLOYMENT SOLICITOR - LOCUM, 3+ PQE, WEST MIDLANDS, £34.14 PER HOUR. This position provides expert legal advice, representation, and advocacy on behalf of Union members, while also working with colleagues and contributing to the development of training programs and resources. JOB REF: 3027

Responsibilities
  • Conduct claims and litigation on behalf of solicitors, representing members before tribunals, courts, hearings, and regulatory bodies, while providing legal advice and guidance to colleagues on matters affecting teachers.
  • Contribute to staff and member training, and prepare written documents, articles, and resources on legal issues.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with proven expertise in employment law, regulatory proceedings, and advocacy, together with demonstrable experience in case management and litigation.
  • Strong advocacy skills before courts, tribunals, and regulatory bodies, and ability to provide clear, practical advice with excellent drafting and communication skills.
