Job Description
I am currently working exclusively with a well-established national law firm, seeking a Employment Solicitor - 12M FTC to provide expert employment law support during a period of increased workload. This role will suit an experienced Employment Solicitor who can deliver pragmatic, commercially focused advice and operate as a trusted adviser to employer clients across multiple sectors.
Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day employment law advice to employer clients, including HR and senior management.
- Support complex employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, redundancies, and restructures.
- Advise on TUPE transfers, workforce change projects, and organisational transformation.
- Draft, review and advise on employment contracts, handbooks, policies, consultancy and secondment agreements.
- Manage employment litigation risk and advise on tribunal strategy where required.
- Conduct workplace investigations and advise on trade union and industrial relations matters.
- Advise on employment-related data protection matters, including DSARs and employee privacy notices.
- Deliver client training and contribute to business development initiatives.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and instruct/manage external counsel where necessary.
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with a minimum PQE of 4 years
- Strong private practice employment law background, ideally with a focus on employer-side advice.
- Proven experience advising on a broad range of employment law matters.
- Pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate autonomously and add value from day one.
- Strong drafting, organisation and communication skills, with attention to detail.
