The Employment PSL (Head of Knowledge) role in Birmingham is a strategic leadership position with a national law firm, offering a salary between £70,000 and £100,000 on a full time, hybrid and flexible basis. This position focuses on shaping the Employment practice through knowledge, innovation, and technology rather than traditional fee earning. Key responsibilities include managing legal resources, implementing cutting edge tools, and tracking legislative changes to support the team.
THE ROLE- Lead and develop the Employment Professional Support Lawyer team.
- Shape the firm's knowledge strategy for its Employment practice.
- Produce and maintain high quality precedents, guidance notes and legal resources.
- Keep the wider team ahead of legislative and case law developments.
- Deliver engaging training sessions for colleagues and clients.
- Support business development through thought leadership and technical content.
- Champion legal technology, automation and innovation across the team.
- Collaborate with innovation and knowledge specialists to enhance efficiency and client service.
You'll be a qualified Solicitor with 8+ years' PQE and a strong background in Employment Law.
- Excellent technical Employment Law expertise.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.
- Experience creating legal know how, precedents or delivering training.
- A genuine enthusiasm for legal innovation and technology.
- Immigration Law experience would be advantageous but isn't essential.
