Employment Advisor - BAME Community Support
We are excited to offer a new opportunity for an Employment Advisor who will work closely with individuals from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities.
You'll provide guidance, support, and motivation to help them overcome barriers and move closer to work, volunteering, or training opportunities.
This is a mobile role, where you'll meet people face-to-face across South Yorkshire, Bradford, Calderdale, and surrounding areas, with flexibility to work from home when appropriate.
- Full-time, 6-month fixed-term contract with potential to extend
- Primarily community-based work with some home working flexibility

What You'll Be Doing
- Managing a caseload of participants from the BAME community, delivering 1-1 and group-based support
- Supporting individuals to overcome complex and multiple barriers to employment
- Signposting to local services and specialist agencies for additional help (e.g., housing, mental health, ESOL)
- Helping participants to build confidence, develop skills, and access work experience or training
- Working closely with community partners and employers to identify opportunities
- Ensuring accurate record-keeping and meeting contract KPIs
- Travelling regularly to meet participants in community venues and outreach locations
What We're Looking For
- Strong interpersonal skills and cultural awareness
- Experience in employment support, advice and guidance, or community outreach
- Ability to communicate effectively across a range of languages is highly desirable
- Empathy, resilience, and a genuine passion for helping others
- Ability to work independently and flexibly across locations
- Knowledge of local support services, particularly those relevant to the BAME community
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is highly desirable
