Employee Relations Manager (12-Month FTC, Part-Time)

Location: Central London (Hybrid Working)

Hours: 21 hours per week (flexible across the week)

Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract

A historic charity based in Central London is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Manager to join their HR team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a part-time opportunity (21 hours per week) with a flexible hybrid working pattern.

The Role

Reporting into the Director of HR, you will provide expert guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters, supporting managers and ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant HR practices across the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading on complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance management matters
  • Advising and coaching managers on best practice HR and ER processes
  • Ensuring policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with employment law
  • Supporting organisational change initiatives where required
  • Contributing to the review and development of HR policies and ER frameworks
  • Working collaboratively with the wider HR team to promote positive employee relations and engagement

About You:

You will be a confident HR professional with strong experience managing employee relations issues in a complex organisation.

  • CIPD qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience handling complex ER casework from start to resolution
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • The ability to provide pragmatic, balanced advice to managers
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
