EMEA Third-Party Manufacturing Engineer (m/f/ ) Metal and Electronics
The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As an EMEA Third-Party Manufacturing Engineer for the Metal and Electronics suppliers commodity, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:
Leading and/or supporting Change Management Projects
Contributing to the success of our New Product Introduction program by ensuring smooth transitions from scale-up to launch phases with relevant suppliers
Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service, reduce inventory and lead times, decrease costs, improve quality, and optimize footprint/portfolio
Coordinating daily operations and activities with suppliers
Assessing suppliers' technical capabilities to ensure they meet 3M's needs and requirements
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent industry experience
Previous experience in supplier performance management or a similar role within a manufacturing environment
Project Management and Leadership
Business Conduct, Financial and EHS standards
Management of Change and Continuous Improvement processes
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Proven track record of driving supplier performance improvements and cost savings
St rong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
Proficiency in English both verbal and written
Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Experience of managing suppliers within the metal and electronics industry
Lean Six Sigma experience
Team player
Project management
Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
Job specifics:
Location - UK based located within a commutable distance to one of our manufacturing/office locations to include - Aycliffe, Skelmersdale or Bracknell
Hybrid working pattern is preferred - 2-3 days remote/office
Travel: May include up to 15% -20% domestic/international
