Citi Wealth is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Head of Markets Credit Solutions for the EMEA region. This is a unique opportunity to lead an industry leading front office team, shaping the credit landscape for our most sophisticated wealth management clients. In this critical role, you will report directly to the Global Head of Markets Credit Solutions and have a matrix report to the regional EMEA Head of Wealth Markets, you will be the regional owner for the entire credit solutions product suite. Your Role and Impact

As the Head of Markets Credit Solutions EMEA, you will be empowered to make a significant impact across the business. Your responsibilities will be centered on four key pillars:

  1. Drive Strategic Credit Solutions & Client Relationships:
    • Serve as the primary expert and point of contact for all tailored Capital Markets credit solutions, covering everything from derivatives to brokerage products.
    • Proactively partner with our Markets Desk, Risk Analytics, and Lending teams to identify client needs and engineer innovative, commercially viable solutions.
    • Act as a regional SME of our Wealth Markets Credit platform, continuously developing and promoting its capabilities across the organization.
    • Develop and execute strategic plans to intelligently grow our credit portfolio, identifying and capturing new opportunities with our most valued clients.
  2. Lead Complex Deal Structuring & Execution:
    • Provide end to end subject matter expertise on complex transactions, from initial client discussions and needs analysis to final structuring and underwriting.
    • Mentor and develop the markets credit expertise within our underwriting teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
    • Lead negotiations on ISDA agreements and other critical credit documentation, liaising with legal, risk, and operations to ensure a seamless and efficient onboarding experience for clients.
    • Establish and refine robust processes for monitoring, issue resolution, and escalation across the entire credit lifecycle.
  3. Ensure World Class Client Service & Support:
    • Be the trusted advisor for our Wealth Markets client base, addressing any and all credit related inquiries and issues with speed and precision.
    • Champion a client centric approach, engaging across internal teams to meet and exceed client expectations.
    • Provide exceptional service by taking ownership of all financial and operational investigations, ensuring timely resolution and complete client satisfaction.
  4. Deliver Actionable Insights & Optimize Performance:
    • Establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting dashboards to provide clear, concise updates to senior management.
    • Conduct sophisticated analysis of CVA/RWA charges to drive profitability, optimize capital allocation, and proactively identify emerging risks and opportunities.

What You'll Bring
  • Extensive Credit & Markets Expertise: Formal credit training (CO/SCO) and significant experience in a senior credit or capital markets role. Essential, in-depth knowledge of OTC Derivatives, Brokerage Margin/Prime Finance, and a strong understanding of commodities, fixed income, and equity products.
  • Proven Leadership & Business Acumen: A demonstrated ability to manage relationships, drive business development, and work effectively in a fast paced trading environment. You see the "big picture" and take pride of ownership in every deliverable.
  • Analytical Rigor: A Bachelor's and Master's degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Science, Finance, or Economics). Strong analytical skills, including statistics, stress testing, and factor analysis, with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional Communication: Logical, articulate, and persuasive communicator, with the ability to build strong interpersonal relationships quickly and convey complex ideas to any audience.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Natural problem solver with an entrepreneurial mindset, capable of working independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
  • Required Licensing: CISI Level 4 Diploma in Investment Advice is preferred.

Certification Regime and FIT AND PROPER Requirements

Candidates applying for this role must be aware that it is a Certified Role, subject to the FCA and PRA Certification Regime. This assessment will be carried out through extensive interviews, self disclosures, permitted criminal record checks, regulated reference checks, credit checks and other background screening checks.
