Function Description

As an Embedded Software Test Engineer, you are instrumental in the verification and validation of sophisticated software and applications integral to embedded systems. Your critical focus spans functional testing, rigorous platform verification, and the intricate domains of network management and diagnostics. Crafting meticulous test designs aligned with stringent system requirements is a cornerstone of this role. You will expertly manage test cases within HP ALM and execute comprehensive tests on advanced hardware-in-the-loop systems.

Operating within a vibrant, multicultural, and multidisciplinary environment, you will navigate diverse projects with agility. Daily collaboration with verification engineers is essential, alongside frequent engagement with key development stakeholders including software and hardware engineers, and project lead engineers. Your contributions directly report to the Supervisor of the Software Verification group within the Verification department, reflecting your impact on mission-critical validation processes.

To thrive in this challenging role, you bring a robust foundation and demonstrated experience:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanics, Automotive, Electronics, Computer Science, or a comparable technical field.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 4-5 years of hands-on experience in embedded software testing.
• Testing Acumen: Proven knowledge of various test techniques; a test certificate such as ISTQB is a valuable asset.
• Domain Expertise: Strong technical proficiency within Automotive and the powertrain domain.
• Automation Skills: Practical experience in test automation.
• Agile Proficiency: Familiarity and experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies.
• Requirement Management: Demonstrated experience with requirement management processes.
• Test Management Systems: Proficient in HP ALM or analogous test management systems.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
• Software Design Knowledge: Understanding of embedded software design processes, particularly the V-cycle.
• Modeling Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink and model-based design techniques is a plus.
