Embedded Software Engineer

Embedded Software Engineer - Contract - Hybrid (Munich)

We're looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to support the development of high-performance Embedded software for advanced defence and flight systems.
This is a hands-on role working close to the hardware across Embedded Linux, RTOS and bare-metal platforms. You'll contribute to flight-critical software development, hardware integration and real-world testing, working alongside electronics, avionics and systems engineers within a fast-paced engineering environment.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Strong Embedded C and/or C++ development experience
• Experience developing on Embedded Linux, RTOS and/or bare-metal platforms
• Low-level software development including drivers, interfaces and Middleware
• Strong understanding of Real Time systems, timing, determinism and resource constraints
• Hardware/software integration, bring-up and debugging experience
• Experience interfacing with sensors, actuators or other Embedded hardware
• Background within aerospace, defence or similarly complex Embedded systems

Desirable:

• Flight-critical or safety-critical Embedded software experience
• Avionics or flight systems experience
• MATLAB/Simulink and model-based development
• FPGA integration or exposure to VHDL
• Experience with code generation and model-based software development
• Previous experience within fast-paced R&D or advanced technology environments
