Electronics Engineer (Contract)

Role Overview:

This is a 12-month contract role within Saab Seaeye's Underwater Robotics Business Unit in Fareham. You will be part of the Electronics team, designing electronic/electrical products for underwater vehicles, leveraging innovation, creativity, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop new electronic designs.
2. Work on novel designs with quantified acceptable risks.
3. Manage full-lifecycle design and development, from concept to end of life, with change management.
4. Engage in mixed signal electronic design.
5. Apply board layout principles.
6. Work with interface buses and protocols such as I2C, SPI, RS485, CAN, and Ethernet.
7. Design for LVD/EMC compliance.
8. Develop requirements specifications and test procedures.
9. Conduct system-level integration and testing.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related engineering discipline, or extensive professional experience.
• Ability to work independently or within project teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Design skills and knowledge.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
• Flexibility and openness to change.
