Job Description

Electronics Engineer From £35,000

This role is office-based in Stokesley, North Yorkshire. We do not offer hybrid or homeworking opportunities.

What you will do:
  • Design and develop embedded systems for Labman projects.
  • Develop electronic and electro-mechanical subsystems, and firmware.
  • Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and production partners.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and techniques.
  • Interact frequently with customers.
  • Contribute to team development and knowledge sharing.
  • Work with global companies and public organizations.
  • Collaborate within a talented, multifunctional team.
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports detailing findings, designs, and testing results.
What essentials you bring:
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in electronics.
  • Strong foundation in digital and analog electronics, circuit theory, and discrete design.
  • At least 1 year of microcontroller programming in C and C++, with familiarity in ARM architectures (Cortex-M0+, STM32, CubeIDE).
  • Proficient in PCB design software and motor control (stepper, DC brushless, servos).
  • Strong practical skills and capability, with excellent English literacy for documentation.
  • Effective team player with strong communication skills, working within the Labman ISO9001 framework.
Desirable Skills:
  • Strong intuition for mechanical design and materials.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD tools like SolidWorks, Autodesk, or Fusion 360.
  • Hands-on experience in the automation industry.
