Electronics Design Engineer - Contract

Role: Electronics Design EngineerType: Contract - Inside IR35Duration: 6-12 monthsLocation: Reading, onsite.An Electronics Design Engineer is required to join an established business in Reading, on a 6 to 12 month contract basis. The successful Electronics Design Engineer will be responsible for the design of complex multi-layer circuits for electronic displays used for aerospace and military vehicle display and control units.Due to the nature of the work, the successful Electronics Design Engineer will be required to gain security clearance, and be prepared to work onsite in Reading, Berkshire.Essential Skills & Experience:

• Strong background in designing complex multi-layer PCBs
• Proficient in PCB CAD tools such as Altium, Cadence, Mentor. Altium preferred.
• Design and develop multi-layer PCBs between 4-12+ layers for complex electronics
• Good understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, EMC, and high-speed design principles
• Experience working with IPC standards and PCB fabrication constraints

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in highly regulated sectors such as medical, nuclear, aerospace, defence.
• Rigid-flex or HDI PCB design experience
• C/C++ Programming for microcontrollers
