Electrical Service Engineer

Location: UK field based with regional patch. Travel across the UK and occasional Europe.
Type: Full time, permanent.
Salary: £38,000 to £42,000 basic, negotiable DOE.
Overtime: Door to door. High potential. Engineers typically add £10,000 in OT.
Vehicle: Plug in hybrid company car.

Role overview

Electrically biased service role on CNC machine tools. You will diagnose, repair and commission drives, power supplies and control systems on lathes and machining centres.

Key responsibilities

• Electrical fault finding and diagnosis using multimeter and oscilloscope
• Circuit testing, signal tracing, I/O checks and safety verification
• Drive and power supply replacement, encoder and feedback systems
• Commissioning support and parameter work where required
• Planned maintenance with clear service notes and parts recommendations

Requirements

• Time-served in electrical engineering or maintenance
• Strong CNC service experience on lathes and machining centres
• Confident reading electrical schematics and using test equipment
• Full UK driving licence. Right to work in the UK

Nice to have

• Knowledge of EDM machines, wire and sinker
• Experience with FANUC and Okuma controls
