Job Description

NRL is currently working with an M&E Contractor who is looking for an Electrical Project Engineer on a permanent basis in the North East.

Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure all matters pertaining to Health, Safety, and Welfare are implemented.
  2. Assist in the coordination of all facets of a specific project from contract signature through all phases until handover to the end user.
  3. Ensure that all related design information is correctly and fully audited to secure overall compliance with the employer's requirements and statutory regulations.
  4. Maintain comprehensive Installation Standards records covering quality control, system/equipment testing, water treatment, commissioning, and equipment maintenance.
  5. Monitor commercial and contractual matters closely with the Construction Manager to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled without deviation and expenditure remains within budget.
  6. Prepare accurate weekly progress reports in conjunction with the Construction Manager.
  7. Attend site meetings as required.
  8. Prepare complete Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
  9. Provide technical support and expertise to the internal project team.
  10. Maintain close working relationships with the client and partners to ensure customer focus.
  11. Manage variation costing and control with the Construction Manager and main contractor.
  12. Assist in the handover to the client and aftercare.
  13. Maintain detailed records, including reports and test/inspection data, on a rolling basis.
  14. Work as directed by the Construction Manager.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of HNC or equivalent in a related engineering subject.
  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
