Job Description

We are partnering with a leading manufacturing company in Carrick on Shannon, Co. Leitrim to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their team on a permanent contract.

Responsibilities
  • Execute the site's electrical preventative maintenance programme to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.
  • Complete assigned work orders in a timely, safe, and compliant manner, adhering strictly to company procedures.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in electrical and electro mechanical systems to minimise downtime.
  • Perform both preventative and reactive maintenance, addressing scheduled tasks and emergency breakdowns efficiently.
  • Test, inspect, and certify completed electrical installations in line with regulatory standards.
  • Work with PLCs and associated systems, carrying out fault finding and basic programming support where required.
  • Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of all on site electrical equipment and systems.
  • Accurately complete all work orders, documentation, and maintenance records.
  • Participate in training programmes and maintain up to date knowledge of SOPs and compliance requirements.
  • Adhere to all site Health & Safety policies, procedures, and regulatory standards at all times.
Requirements
  • An Electrical Instrumentation qualification (QQI Level 6) or equivalent recognised electrical qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years' hands on experience as a Maintenance Technician within an industrial environment.
  • Strong technical competency in electrical maintenance and engineering practices.
  • Experience working with machinery, process equipment, controls, and automation systems.
  • Proven experience in both electrical and mechanical installation and maintenance.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with attention to detail.
  • Logical and methodical approach to problem solving.
