Job Description

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) - Manufacturing

Based in Berkshire - 3-month rolling contract

Shifts: Panama Shifts (12-hour) - Days and Nights

Company Overview

One of the UK's second-largest manufacturers, holding a third of the market share, with a turnover exceeding £300 million and 17 sites nationwide, is seeking to expand its internal maintenance team. Following successful contracts, a new opportunity has arisen for a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias. The role involves supporting the team to minimize downtime and maintain high standards across various equipment.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform reactive maintenance, fault finding, and component replacements on various machines.
  2. Conduct preventative maintenance tasks.
  3. Replace components on equipment such as conveyors, cranes, cookers, slicers, and pallets.
  4. Handle electrical fault finding on PLCs and electrical components including sensors, relays, proximities, control panels, motors (single-phase, three-phase, AC, DC), and contactors.
Skills and Experience
  1. Previous electrical and mechanical experience in an industrial environment (Manufacturing, FMCG, or Packaging).
  2. Electrical engineering qualification.
  3. Ability to fault find and repair a wide range of electrical components.
  4. Experience working with PLCs (Siemens S5 and S7).
Benefits

  2. Minimum of 40 hours per week.
