Job Description

Multi-Skilled Service Engineer - Electrical Bias

Location: West Quay, Southampton (Site Based)

Core Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Integral is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team.

You will be responsible for maintenance and reactive duties at West Quay Shopping Centre, Southampton.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance according to the company's PPM and task schedules.
  • Undertake PPM activities professionally and with quality.
  • Utilize and complete the CAFM system.
  • Be part of the current shift team (early, late, and weekend shifts).
  • Produce technical and situational reports as required.
  • Perform additional duties on site as requested.
  • Use technology systems proactively to ensure contractual compliance.
  • Complete work requests professionally and proactively.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients.
  • Provide first-line out-of-hours call-out support for the site.
  • Write activity reports accurately and promptly, following company procedures.
  • Assist management in producing quotations by providing accurate information on extra works.
  • Attend team meetings and briefings.
  • Provide accurate timesheet information weekly and on time.
  • Maintain a professional company image at all times.
  • Perform reactive maintenance as directed by the Help Desk or management.
  • Escalate major site issues or incidents to your line manager immediately.
  • Manage subcontractors on site effectively.
  • Understand and comply with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality legislation, and be aware of your responsibilities.
  • Handle, store, and use materials and equipment in accordance with legislation.
  • Participate in health and safety processes, including accident investigation, reporting, risk assessments, and audits.
  • Follow any other reasonable instructions from the Contract Manager or Line Managers.
  • Cooperate with the company to fulfill its legal and moral duties.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a commercial environment.
  • Electrical Engineering apprenticeship / NVQ or C&G qualification (Essential).
  • 18th Edition IEE Wiring and Installation (Ability to attain 18th Edition through additional training if holding 17th Edition) (Essential).
  • Knowledge of air conditioning, ventilation extraction, plumbing, and general fabric maintenance.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all staff levels.
  • Proactive approach to achieving high standards of operation.
  • Good IT skills and report writing abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure while remaining calm and delivering quality services within deadlines.
