Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme & Whitchurch Salary: Competitive + Benefits

The Job:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a progressive feed production business operating across multiple UK sites. This is a hands-on role involving both planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of animal feed processing machinery, with a focus on maximising operational uptime.

This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Engineering Manager, covering two sites in Newcastle-under-Lyme and Whitchurch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing planned preventative maintenance and attending to reactive breakdowns on production machinery
  • Supporting capital expenditure and continuous improvement projects
  • Collaborating with production teams to uphold safety, quality, and efficiency standards
  • Maintaining 5S standards within engineering work areas
  • Using CMMS systems to manage maintenance records and tasks

Shift Pattern:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Rotating weekly shift pattern:
  • Week 1: 6:00am - 2:00pm
  • Week 2: 8:00am - 4:00pm / 5:00pm
  • Week 3: 2:00pm - 10:00pm

The Candidate:

  • Recognised apprenticeship or qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Experience with electrical energy technology, PLC & SCADA systems
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems and proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Counter-balance FLT licence advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence essential
  • Willingness to travel between sites, work rotating shifts, and on-call duties
