Job Description
Electrical HV/MV Contracts Manager

Required to join Ireland's top multi-disciplined engineering and construction company in their Power division. This company offers industry leading services in civil engineering, transport infrastructure, structure steel & pipe fabrication, water and wastewater, power, natural resources and ground engineering. They also have a major projects and a property division.

The successful Contracts Manager will be responsible for project delivery through initial work winning phase, through design, construction, commissioning and handover, leading the team and managing other stakeholders and clients such as Eirgrid & ESBN. Projects will be HV/MV and will include:

Role
  • Design & Construction of new Substations and grid connections for renewable energy generation assets such as Wind Farms and Solar Farms
  • Design & Construction of upgrades to existing substations and other assets on the national grid
  • Design & Construction of new Substations and grid connections for Data Centre projects
  • Design & Construction of Overhead Power Lines
  • Design & Construction of Underground Power Cables
Requirements
  • Degree qualified Electrical Engineer (preferable Chartered with Engineers Ireland)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working for a Tier 1 Electrical Contractor in Ireland as a HV/MV Project Manager or Senior Electrical Engineer looking to move up
  • Demonstrable experience of managing HV/MV projects including:
  • Safety, Health & Environmental Management
  • Design management within Eirgrid/ESBN parameters
  • Procurement of major equipment
  • Planning, programming & resourcing
  • Commercial & Contract management
  • QA/QC & Commissioning of projects
Salary
  • Salary circa €110k - €120k DOE
