Electrical Engineer

The Role:
The Electrical Engineer will join a cross-functional team working on cryogenic vacuum pumps and chillers. The candidate should demonstrate a methodical approach to electronics development and take ownership of their work.
Main Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include:
- Participating in the development of new products and improvements for cost, warranty, and manufacturability.
- Creating specifications and electrical design schematics for cryogenic systems and components.
- Selecting off-the-shelf electronics subsystems, boards, and components.
- Conducting schematic, layout, DFMEA, and risk assessments.
- Collaborating with technicians and engineers for design verification testing.
- Participating in system qualification testing to ensure compliance.
- Developing and reviewing test plans for reliability, HALT/HASS, and production testing.
- Documenting development and transfer processes (schematics, BOM, test procedures).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field with 3+ years of industrial experience.
- Experience with schematic capture, PCB design, wiring diagrams, BOM management, and engineering change management.
- Proactive problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work closely with software and quality teams.
- Strong communication skills for technical discussions across teams.
- Track record of completing work accurately and on time.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:
- System-level electrical design experience, including circuit breakers, VFDs, control systems.
- Experience with communication protocols, microcontrollers (ARM, DSP), FPGA design, high-speed interfaces.
- Knowledge of fail-safe systems, electrical safety, and functional safety standards.
- Experience with regulatory compliance (UL, CE, SEMI).
- Proficiency in Altium Designer or similar design software.
