From system architecture to commissioning, this role allows you to shape the electrical backbone of complex naval vessels and submarines, based in Rotterdam , with various projects across the maritime sector.

Your Role

As an Electrical Systems Integration Engineer , you are responsible for the overall electrical system architecture and integration of complex onboard installations. You independently develop system solutions and act as the technical point of contact for both the project team and the customer.

You are involved throughout the full project lifecycle, including engineering, production, implementation, and commissioning . With your broad system knowledge, you ensure that all systems integrate seamlessly and comply with client requirements, safety standards, and classification rules.

What You Will Do

  • Define the basic electrical system design and ensure correct integration of all onboard systems
  • Commission detailed design work or execute it yourself when required
  • Prepare technical specifications and select appropriate components and materials
  • Analyse complex technical challenges and translate them into robust system solutions
  • Review, edit, and assess technical data and system documentation
  • Coordinate with clients, end users, and classification societies to ensure compliance
  • Advise on system design choices and support commissioning activities
  • Participate in internal and external FAT, HAT, and SAT for complex systems

Profile What You Bring

  • Bachelor-level education in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Extensive experience with electrical installations such as power generation, system integration, and lighting
  • Preferably experience within the maritime or naval sector
  • Good understanding of materials used in electronic and control engineering systems
  • Experience with EPLAN is a strong advantage
  • Ability to technically lead and support a small team of Electrical Engineers
  • Knowledge of classification society requirements is a plus
  • Clear and effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
