Overview

Electrical Engineer - Energy Industry - Kildare
Employment Type: Permanent
Experience: 6+ years
Visa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa required

Our client is a leading Irish multi-disciplinary Engineering company based in County Kildare. Our client is looking for experienced Electrical Engineers for projects in the energy industry.

Responsibilities
  • Review and understand schematics, GA plans and project specifications
  • Design development, validate equipment and systems
  • Develop scopes, specifications and carry out LV design
  • Report to the Project Manager on project progress, risks and issues
  • Analyse supplier information for alignment with design specifications
  • Coordinate on projects with a proven track record
  • Knowledge of Trimble Pro design, Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project
  • Work well under pressure and within a strict deadline environment
  • Drive large-scale projects
  • Ensure the Construction Team adheres to all contractual requirements and provide advice and monitoring
  • Manage overall project delivery from inception to completion
  • Provide daily and weekly progress reports; chair and attend regular client meetings
  • Identify issues and risks early and resolve or escalate as appropriate
  • Schedule workload, equipment and resources
  • Liaise with the SHEQ Manager on all project SHEQ matters
  • Support Business Development through tendering and networking
  • Ensure core Customer Care principles are adhered to
Requirements
  • Experience working on multi-discipline projects
  • A Degree in Engineering or Management plus minimum 5 years post-qualification experience within the industry is advantageous
  • Experience in LV electrical systems; open to developing knowledge in MV/HV
  • Excellent commercial knowledge and understanding
  • Strong IT skills with Microsoft Office packages, including diagnostic skills
  • Ability to set clear goals, focus on targets and deliver quality in performance
  • Ability to motivate and lead others
