Are you a seasoned Electrical/Control & Instrumentation professional looking to take ownership of a critical site and lead a high performing EC&I function? This is a standout opportunity to step into a role where you'll have real influence, responsibility and the scope to drive continuous improvement.

As the site's Electrical Duty Holder, you'll be the go to technical authority for all EC&I activity - ensuring the plant is safe, compliant, and consistently available to support operational performance.

You will:

  • Work cross functionally with mechanical and operations teams to plan strategic preventive and reactive maintenance that meets commercial KPIs.
  • Lead and mentor a skilled team of electricians and EC&I technicians - managing schedules, safe systems of work, and the 24/7 call out rota.
  • Oversee contractors and manage EC&I contract requirements, ensuring high quality and cost effective services.
  • Drive the development of the CMMS to align with O&M manuals and bespoke plant requirements.
  • Manage installation, testing, operation and optimisation of monitoring and machine protection systems.
  • Investigate, diagnose and resolve EC&I faults across the plant.
  • Oversee minor installation and phased upgrade works.
  • Administer and maintain plant control systems, including fault-finding, updates and system back ups.
  • Plan and deliver complex outages to support operational needs.
  • Own and control the EC&I OPEX/AOP budget alongside the site management team.
  • Manage critical spare parts inventory to guarantee uptime.
  • Champion energy saving initiatives and help steer the business toward net zero operations.
  • Maintain compliance with evolving legislation, including BS7671 and BS6626, always pushing continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For

A forward thinking EC&I professional with:

  • Strong technical expertise across industrial electrical & control systems
  • Experience as a duty holder or similar high responsibility role
  • Confidence managing teams, contractors and budgets
  • A proactive mindset and passion for operational excellence
  • The drive to innovate and contribute to sustainability goals
  • Experienced in operating, maintaining and troubleshooting electrical distribution systems from 110V up to 11kV, including LV final circuits, MCCs, motor control systems, HV switchgear, LV/HV motors, VSDs and HV transformers.
