The Role
The successful Electrical Design Engineer will join a multidisciplinary building services team, taking responsibility for delivering electrical designs across projects from initial concept through to post-completion.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver electrical building services designs across projects from concept through to post-completion.
- Produce electrical drawings, technical reports and specifications.
- Undertake electrical calculations using recognised industry software.
- Work across commercial, industrial, healthcare, leisure, retail, residential, extra care and mixed-use developments.
- Liaise directly with clients and external design teams on technical matters.
- Assist with project management and general design coordination.
- Liaise with suppliers and monitor contractors throughout project delivery.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant British Standards, Codes of Practice and applicable regulations.
- Consider sustainable design principles and energy-efficient engineering solutions.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider multidisciplinary team.
- HND or above in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- Ideally 3-5 years' experience within Electrical Building Services Design.
- Sound technical knowledge of electrical building services engineering.
- Experience using recognised electrical design and calculation software.
- Ability to manage projects and workloads independently.
- Good understanding of relevant British Standards and industry regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Membership of a relevant professional body, such as CIBSE or IET.
- Working towards professional registration.
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Salary of £35,000 - £47,000, depending on experience.
