Join an established and reputable building services consultancy with a strong presence in Plymouth, delivering mechanical, electrical, public health, and sustainable design solutions. The company works on a broad range of projects across healthcare, education, commercial, and residential sectors, with a strong focus on innovation and environmental responsibility.Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical building services systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and fire alarms
- Prepare detailed calculations, specifications, and technical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
- Collaborate closely with mechanical and public health engineers to develop integrated MEP solutions
- Conduct site surveys and inspections to inform and verify design decisions
- Engage with clients and project teams to understand requirements and provide technical advice
- Ensure compliance with UK electrical standards, such as BS 7671 and CIBSE guidance
- Contribute to sustainable and energy-efficient design initiatives
- Mentor junior team members and support continuous process improvement
Candidate Profile
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical building services design within consultancy or related sectors
- Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit experience is desirable
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical design principles and relevant UK regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
