We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at HUBER Technology, based at our Head Office in Chippenham. This is a permanent position with potential flexible working arrangements after a thorough training period.
HUBER Technology, an "Investors in People" Gold company, specializes in environmental engineering worldwide, with a UK operation focused on delivering wastewater treatment solutions for the UK water industry.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be part of a small, collaborative team responsible for designing bespoke and standard control panels, as well as electrical installation schematics for wastewater treatment projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Create detailed electrical schematics, 2D layouts, and wiring diagrams for control panels using CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems into machinery.
- Support panel assembly during build and testing phases.
- Document design revisions, support Design Change Notices, and participate in design reviews.
- Assist the commissioning team to ensure successful FAT and SAT.
- Formal qualification in an Engineering discipline.
- Practical approach to developing cost-effective solutions meeting customer requirements.
- Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design.
- Experience with machine safety and standards (e.g., ISO 13849) is preferred.
- Good communication skills.
- Enjoyment of technical work and attention to detail.
- Experience in a dynamic engineering environment is advantageous.
- Ability to work logically with a variety of stakeholders.
- Willingness to learn and adapt, including familiarity with ERP systems after training.
