EHS Officer - Heywood
Monday to Friday role with some flexibility. Permanent, Full Time.
£40,000, plus Bonus, pension + Healthcare + generous holidays + further perks
Role Description- To support the achievement of the QEHS strategy, objectives, and KPIs, including Safety Management Systems (ISO).
- Support functional managers in understanding EHS legal requirements.
- Liaise with external bodies/service providers, including HSE, to support investigations and respond to queries.
- Lead in conducting and documenting Risk Assessments (including COSHH and manual handling) with cross-functional teams.
- Create EHS toolbox talks for Shift/Department Managers to deliver at huddles or team meetings.
- Conduct audits and process reviews, collecting information and promoting improvement.
- Work on short- and long-term projects in the business.
- NEBOSH certificate
- IOSH Certification
- ISO Understanding
- Experience within manufacturing - ideally chemical or similar
- A positive "can do" attitude and drive to succeed
- Willing to train, as there is lots of training and development available
