EHS International is placing a permanent EHS Manager with an established food manufacturing operation in Co. Wicklow. This is a standalone, site-level role with full health and safety ownership - offering the stability of a permanent position alongside access to EHS International's specialist consultant network.
You'll hold primary responsibility for health and safety across a busy food production site, working directly with senior management and functional leads to embed a strong safety culture, drive measurable improvement, and maintain full compliance with Irish H&S legislation.
- Lead the development and delivery of site H&S objectives, working across Operations, Engineering, and Quality to translate policy into practical, day-to-day action
- Conduct and manage risk assessments across site operations, address identified hazards in a structured and timely manner, and maintain the site risk register
- Plan, prepare, and manage internal and external audit processes from preparation through to close-out of findings
- Support managers and supervisors on H&S planning, safe systems of work, and compliance requirements for employees, contractors, and visitors on site
- Identify training needs across the workforce and deliver H&S training - from inductions and toolbox talks to statutory programmes - as required
- Lead or support incident and accident investigations; for serious incidents, manage the investigation process and liaise with the Health & Safety Authority as required

Requirements- Relevant third-level qualification in Health & Safety or a related discipline
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a Health & Safety role with demonstrated site-level responsibility
- Strong, practical knowledge of Irish H&S legislation and its application in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, develop safe systems of work, and lead incident investigations to conclusion
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, from shop floor to senior management
- Manual Handling Instructor and/or Forklift Instructor qualifications are an advantage
- Full clean driving licence
- Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland
