EHCP Plan WriterLocation: West Berkshire (Hybrid Working)Rate per day: £290 - £320 per dayWorking Arrangements: Full Time Contract, Hybrid Working 2 days in officeWe are currently recruiting for an experienced EHCP Plan Writer to join a busy SEND Service in West Berkshire.This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled SEND professional with strong EHCP drafting experience to support the production of high-quality, person-centred Education, Health and Care Plans that help deliver positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND.Key Responsibilities:
- Draft high-quality Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) using MS Word and the MRI system.
- Produce clear, accessible and outcome-focused plans that accurately reflect assessed needs and provision.
- Work closely with families to agree final EHCPs and ensure all parties understand their roles in implementation.
- Apply person-centred and personalised approaches throughout the EHCP process.
- Liaise with SEND Assessment Team members, schools and multi-agency professionals to gather and review information.
- Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are upheld and any concerns are managed in line with statutory guidance and local procedures.
- Promote equality, inclusion and positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
- Maintain accurate records and manage caseloads effectively to meet required timescales.
- Extensive experience working within SEND and EHCP services.
- Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and statutory processes.
- Proven experience drafting and amending EHCPs to a high standard.
- Excellent written communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a busy caseload independently and prioritise workloads effectively.
- Strong partnership-working and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Commitment to person-centred practice and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
