About this job

Education Support Assistant (CSET10). Full time, fixed term until 31/08/2027. Working 39 weeks per year (term time + INSET).

The ideal person will reinforce the excellent work of the teaching staff by supporting students in and outside the classroom, acting as a professional role model, challenging and motivating them.

Key responsibilities
  • Deliver targeted interventions to identified students needing additional support.
  • Maintain high expectations as directed and help identify personal aspirations.
  • Conduct pre planned lessons to small groups.
  • Promote the emotional, physical and educational development of pupils, including those with special needs.
  • Build strong positive relationships with students, staff and families.
  • Role model professionalism, positivity and care.
Qualifications & experience
  • Experience supporting pupils with individual needs, particularly those with EHCPs.
  • Independent, proactive and adaptable to changing needs.
  • Clear communication verbally and in writing.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare.
  • Good level of general education.
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or willingness to work towards it.
