Education and Training Manager
Location: LoughboroughSalary: £40,000 - £42,000
Macildowie are working in partnership with a leading Sports governing body in recruiting a an experienced and forward-thinking Education and Training Manager to lead the planning, development and continuous improvement of their education and learning provision. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will shape and strengthen their qualifications, educator development and training programmes, ensuring they meet regulatory standards, reflect industry needs and align with the organisation's strategic ambitions.
The Role
You will lead and manage the education and educator development function, overseeing a team of learning developers and educator training officers. Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will drive innovation in educational practice and ensure the consistency, quality and impact of our qualifications and learning programmes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development, review and enhancement of qualifications, certificates and learning programmes
- Identifying opportunities for new qualifications and training provision in response to industry trends and stakeholder feedback
- Managing team workload to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of educational products
- Supporting the training and upskilling of educators, including delivering training sessions and facilitating standardisation events
- Building strong relationships with educators, training centres, industry partners and regulatory bodies
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in partnership with the Regulations and Compliance Manager
- Supporting self-assessment processes and contributing to the development of policies and procedures
- Leading recruitment activity for experienced deliverers and subject matter experts
- Developing clear communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed and engaged
National travel will be required to visit educators and approved training centres.
About You
You will be an experienced education professional with a strong background in managing teams within a learning environment. You will combine technical expertise in qualification development with the ability to inspire and support others.
Essential experience and skills:
- Proven line management experience within an educational setting
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, PTLLS or equivalent) or a valid Tutor/Assessor qualification
- Experience delivering education across face-to-face and online environments
- Demonstrable experience in qualification design and developing learning and assessment materials
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Confidence using educational technologies, including digital learning and assessment systems
Desirable:
- Experience developing regulated qualifications
- Knowledge of CASS and quality assurance processes
- A project management qualification
