About us

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Education Administrator to join the Department of Science and Technology Studies (STS), part of the Faculty of Mathematical & Physical Sciences (MAPS).

STS is an academic unit for research and teaching in history of science, philosophy of science, science policy, and science communication. Science and Technology Studies is a well established, international academic discipline. All subjects that fall under the broad category of STEMM are included as "science and technology".

About the role

Working under the direction of the Teaching Administrator, the Education Administrator will provide specialist administration to designated taught degree programmes, as well as postgraduate research programmes offered by the Department, ensuring effective procedures are adopted and documented for dealing with all aspects of the administration.

The successful candidate will assist in achieving a high quality and timely service to current and prospective students and staff related to the designated taught and research degree programmes and beyond.

Please note that this role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore UCL will not be able to sponsor individuals who require right to work in the UK to carry out this role.

About you

The post holder will have a proven track record in administration within a busy office environment. Experience of working in higher/further education or a teaching and learning environment is an advantage. The successful candidate will have good interpersonal skills as well as clear communication skills. They will be able to demonstrate good computer skills and ability to prioritise and organise their own workload.
