Position: Permanent Post. Location: Larkhall Area Office. Hours: 35 hours per week. Salary: Main Grade Teacher Scale, £42,018 - £52,740 per year.

An opportunity has arisen within the Extended Community Team for a Care Experienced Specialist Support Teacher. The successful candidate will use a variety of mediums to directly support pupils, provide advice and support to parents/families, deliver training to teaching and support staff, liaise with staff from partner agencies, and contribute to review and planning meetings.

Other remits: The teacher will be part of the extended community team comprising Early Years Specialist Support teachers, Primary and Secondary Specialist Support Teachers and EAL teachers, line managed by the Senior Manager Pupil Support.

Qualifications: A breadth of teaching experience and knowledge of Scottish education. Enthusiastic, approachable, with a good working knowledge of the Curriculum of Excellence and its application to enhance learning.

Certification: Legal requirement to be registered with GTC Scotland. If born outside the UK or lived/worked abroad for a continuous period of three months or more in the past 10 years, a valid overseas criminal records check, translated into English, must be provided. Applicants will be required to join the PVG Scheme prior to formal offer.
