Job Description

Early Years Teaching Assistant - Reception & Nursery Support

Manchester & Surrounding Areas Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Aspire People

The Role May Include:
  • Supporting children through play-based learning activities
  • Assisting with early phonics, communication, and numeracy development
  • Supporting pupils with routines, transitions, and personal development
  • Helping children develop social and emotional skills
  • Supporting pupils with SEND or additional needs
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and independence
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
  • Working closely with the class teacher and wider support team
  • Observing and feeding back on pupil progress
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience working in an Early Years, Nursery, or Reception setting
  • A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification is desirable
  • A good understanding of early childhood development
  • A patient, creative, and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Confident supporting young children with different needs
  • A genuine passion for helping children learn through play
