Location: Gorseinon, Swansea (Office Base) - Pay: £18.35 per hour PAYE + Holiday Pay - Contract: Initial 3 Month (Potential to Extend up to 6months) - Status: Full Time - Car Driver Essential - 3 Vacancies Available

Overview

Hoop Social Work are recruiting Early Help Lead Workers to join Swansea's Early Help Service on an initial 3 month contract, with strong potential for extension. You will start each morning from the hub in Gorseinon and support vulnerable children, young people and families through a whole family, strengths based approach within the Signs of Wellbeing framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of children, young people and families requiring early intervention support.
  • Act as the lead professional and single point of contact for families.
  • Complete assessments, intervention plans and reviews to identify needs, risks and desired outcomes.
  • Deliver direct interventions within homes, schools and community settings.
  • Coordinate Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings and multi agency support plans.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with children and families, overcoming barriers to engagement.
  • Advocate for children and ensure their voices are heard throughout the support process.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports and case documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver effective, family centred support.
  • Support group work, youth provision, drop ins and community based activities where required.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children, young people and families in an Early Help, Family Support, Youth Work or related setting.
  • Strong assessment, intervention planning and multi agency working skills.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle as you will be travelling to family homes to complete assessments.
  • Knowledge of Signs of Wellbeing, motivational interviewing or solution focused practice would be advantageous.
  • Experience using WCCIS would be highly desirable and knowledge of Signs of Safety framework.
