Salary: £37,870-£56,154 per annum, dependent on experience

Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary

Start Date: 8 September 2026

Teach Now is recruiting an ambitious Early Career Teacher (ECT) for a supportive primary setting in Barnet from September. This opportunity is suited to a newly qualified teacher who wants to build strong classroom practice within a collaborative school environment.

As an Early Career Teacher (ECT) , you will take responsibility for your class while benefiting from the structure, guidance and professional dialogue that are so important at the beginning of a teaching career.

You will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering engaging curriculum lessons
  • Creating clear routines and a positive learning culture
  • Assessing pupils and adapting teaching accordingly
  • Meeting the needs of pupils with SEND and different starting points
  • Working effectively with Teaching Assistants
  • Developing positive communication with parents
  • Contributing to planning, training and wider school activities

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Hold QTS, or expect to achieve QTS before September 2026
  • Have completed successful UK primary school placements
  • Are reflective, organised and eager to develop
  • Understand safeguarding responsibilities
  • Have high expectations for every pupil
