Overview

EAGLES HOMEWORK HELP & TUTORING PROGRAM LEAD (TEMPORARY)

Purpose: Provides planning support and onsite facilitation of the Eagles Homework Help and Tutoring Program; provides leadership in the development of the program structure and oversees the work of volunteer tutors and other support staff; serves as the primary point of contact for families and volunteers during programming. The Eagles Homework Help & Tutoring Program Lead reports to the Outreach and Engagement Supervisor and is responsible to that person for the proper interpretation and performance of the duties and responsibilities of the position.

  • Salary: Pay in accordance with EPEA contract: $45/hour
  • Hours/Days: 3 hours on Thursdays, up to 10 hours/week
  • Start & End Time: 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM Thursdays (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM with 30 minute set-up and take-down)
  • Start Date: 09/21/2026 - 06/04/2027
Responsibilities

Provide planning support and onsite facilitation of the program; lead the development of program structure; oversee the work of volunteer tutors and other support staff; serve as the primary contact for families and volunteers during programming.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in the educational field
  • Minnesota Teacher License
  • Minimum of 1 year teaching experience
  • Experience working cross-culturally and with people of varying backgrounds
  • Excellent group facilitation skills
  • Experience managing volunteers preferred
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual preferred
  • Commitment to equity and improving access for underserved populations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Working knowledge of Zoom
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with administrators, teachers, district employees, and partner colleagues
  • Ability to give and receive information and instructions from the supervisor
  • Speaking Spanish is preferred
