Job Description

As the E-Commerce & Customer Portal Manager within the Group Sales Excellence team, you will be responsible for leading the strategic development and implementation of our global B2B customer portal and e-commerce initiatives, serving as the primary business owner. In this role, you will translate the company's commercial strategy into actionable digital solutions by shaping the roadmap for both platforms, ensuring alignment with evolving customer needs and business priorities. You will play a critical role in accelerating digital channel growth, enhancing the customer experience, and enabling scalable commercial success across global markets.


What you'll do:

  • Customer Portal Strategy and Development: Lead the strategic development of the customer portal, acting as the product owner. Drive the alignment of portal functionalities with the organization's omnichannel strategy, commercial objectives, established business processes, and evolving customer needs. Collaborate with digital transformation and IT teams to translate these requirements into effective, customer-centric solutions on the customer portal.
  • E-Commerce Development: Drive the development and rollout of e-commerce storefronts, built on Salesforce Commerce Cloud across regions. Translate sales-driven business needs into functional storefront capabilities that enhance customer engagement and enable a seamless online purchasing experience. Provide structured support to regions in scaling their e-commerce presence and leveraging the platform effectively.
  • Customer and Sales Teams Enablement: Provide trainings to regional sales teams and partner with them to support customer onboarding and initial training for portal and e-commerce adoption. Serve as the central business contact for collecting internal and external feedback on the digital customer experience, coordinating with Sales, Marketing, digital transformation and IT to identify and implement improvements that enhance engagement.
  • Performance Monitoring and Insight Generation: Define and monitor KPIs to assess the effectiveness and usage of the portal and e-commerce solutions, and their alignment with overall organizations' commercial strategy. Analyze trends in platform performance and customer behavior to identify areas for optimization and innovation, supporting continuous improvement. Communicate market- and region-level performance of the e-commerce storefronts and overall customer platform on a regular basis to relevant stakeholders.


What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Digital Commerce, Digital Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B e-commerce, digital sales enablement, customer platform management or a similar business role, within B2B minerals and chemicals distribution business environments, with proven track record of supporting the rollout and adoption of e-commerce platforms across regions and markets.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions, including sales, marketing and digital transformation teams, and across all seniority levels.
  • Salesforce B2B Commerce Administrator certificate is a must; Salesforce B2B Solution Architect is a plus.
  • Adobe Experience Manager Business Practitioner Professional certification, or Certified Customer Experience Professional (CCXP) are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Any other language is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated experience in translating business requirements into platform functionalities and developing e-commerce platform roadmaps.
  • Ability to structure data analysis in Excel, and create compelling presentations in PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, as required.
