Role OverviewLocation: Jetts Fitness, Clapham Road, London
Contract: 35 hours/week
Salary: £27,000 depending on experience
Reports to: General Manager
Shifts- Regular Sunday shift
- Weekday evening availability required on some days

The RoleAs Duty Manager, you'll be the go-to leader on shift - ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, delivering great customer service, supporting sales, and creating energy on the gym floor. You'll play a key part in growing our membership by delivering exceptional tours and follow-ups, while also engaging members through regular fitness classes.
Key Responsibilities- Be the key sales contact on shift - delivering informative and enthusiastic gym tours
- Make proactive outbound calls to engage new leads and support member retention
- Provide high-quality, welcoming customer service to all members and visitors
- Teach engaging group fitness classes as part of your regular shift pattern
- Follow up leads and manage prospective member communication via our CRM system
- Sign up new members and assist with onboarding to ensure a smooth joining process
- Maintain daily health & safety and cleanliness checks, reporting any issues promptly
- Support the GM in driving retention and following up on payments and queries
- Support and deliver local outreach activities to promote Jetts Fitness in the community
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive gym culture, motivating both members and the PT team
- Use club social media as a tool to engage with current and prospective members
- Keep the gym clean and organised on shift, performing regular walkthroughs and checks
- Take accountability ensuring operational and commercial goals are met
- Sales-Focused: You're comfortable using a CRM, making calls, and driving new sign-ups
- Detail-Oriented: You take pride in maintaining safety, cleanliness, and brand standards
- Fitness Experience: Proven experience in a gym or fitness environment
- Qualifications: Minimum Level 2 Fitness Instructor certification (Level 3 desirable)
- Class Confidence: You enjoy teaching and can bring energy to group sessions
- Strong Communicator: You can build rapport in person and over the phone
- Team Player: You support others and help create a high-performance environment
