Are you a mechanically and electrically skilled Pump Engineer looking for a role that offers real earning potential, varied technical work and long-term stability?

We're working with a well-established, fast-growing engineering business operating across water infrastructure, installation and specialist pump projects. Due to continued contract growth, they are strengthening their Northern engineering team.

This is not a basic service role. You'll be involved in technically varied installations, fault finding and project-based works across wastewater infrastructure.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Service, maintenance and installation of wastewater & clean water pumping systems
  • Electrical fault finding on pump controls and associated systems
  • Mechanical pump removal, replacement and installation
  • Working across sewage pumping stations and treatment sites
  • Supporting technical installation and commissioning projects
  • Working across both reactive and planned works
  • Participating in a 1-in-4 on-call rota

You'll be paid door to door, and work will be kept regional where possible.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 4 years' experience working on pump systems
  • Strong mechanical AND electrical capability (dual-skilled essential)
  • Level 3 electrical qualification desirable
  • Utilities background highly advantageous (Thames, Southern, Yorkshire Water, United Utilities etc.)
  • Comfortable working outdoors and in varied site environments
  • Based within 45 minutes of York

This role suits engineers who enjoy technical challenge rather than repetitive servicing.

The Package:

  • Competitive basic salary
  • Minimum OTE £60,000+ per annum
  • Bonus schemes
  • Company vehicle & fuel card
  • Door-to-door pay
  • Specialist tools provided
  • Genuine long-term progression opportunities

If you're looking for a role where your skills are properly valued and earning potential reflects your experience - this is worth a conversation.
